Sunday Sal – 2018, 16th June.

Hello everyone, today I am a happy bunny as this is todays completed flower which is the Uvalaria.  Not a name I knew but when I looked it up it is certainly a flower I knew from my ex neighbours spring garden.  She used to grow lots of it.  And whilst on the subject of my ex neighbour, Happy Birthday Chris, for yesterday.  I also better say a Big Happy Birthday to my sister-in-law Julie for today, too.

Right back to the topic in hand and here is my Uvalaria:-    DSCF6109

and here in a broader picture is the reason I am a happy bunny today.    DSCF6110

You may remember that last time I was most definitely not a happy bunny on account of the Tulips which I was really unhappy with.  A lot of muttering and swearing (under my breath) later the tulip was finally no more, and I patiently re-stitched it using colours I felt would co-ordinate better.  I feel so much happier with the results.

This SAL is different to most as we all work on different projects, anything were we  feel a need for encouragement to get to the end.  For most of us this is big UFO projects.  Though it can be anything big or small, new or old.   So please visit the others too and see some fantastic projects being worked.  Also if you  would like to join us them please feel free to contact Avis (first name on the list below).  We are scattered all over the globe so please allow for time differences.

Thanks for taking the time to read

About stitchingranny

I am one of those people who need to have busy hands so whether its stitching or papercrafting, I am always doing something. I also love being in the garden, though hubby does most of the work there these days.

I love your new tulips. The colour does go nicely with your other colours. And your uvalaria (not that I knew what it was!) looks really lovely. Not long to go now!

  2. Thanks Catherine but if I do not work on the border then end is going to take a very long time in deed. I think next time you may just see some boring greenery lol.

Your new tulips look great, and another letter finished! Are you getting itchy fingers or do you still have lots of border to do?

This is looking so good! I got a little curious about the Uvalaria, so I´ll try to look it up in my books. If I can find it, that is 🙂

Each of these is so beautiful! And here’s to settling in and working on the border for a bit. It will make the last few letters fly by! Oh — also — I’m happy you’ve restitched the tulip; it’s even lovelier now and you’ll be so much happier with the finished piece!
