Good evening everyone. Yes I am rather late posting today, no real excuse though I was out this morning, the afternoon has been spend poddling about doing bit and bobs of everything and not a lot of anything. I am sure we all get days like that at times.
Anyway this post is, as always on a Wednesday, my chance to update you on the progress of my crafting.
This week I have progress on the Arabella Shawl, after not touching it for a few weeks I am now just about to start the shaping on my 10th colour so this and two more to go.Kokeshi dolls has not had so much work. Unfortunately I cannot knit and stitch at the same time – if anyone knows the solution to that or to getting more hours in the day I would be grateful if you would share it with me.
On the card front I did not take part in the Freshly Made Sketches this week. Alas it is that very lack of the extra hours in my day. Something had to give and it was that. The challenge at Christmas card group this week is hardly a challenge at all. It is make a card with Santa on it. I have made 4 so far and I could make them all day long. These are what have been done so far. Firstly a La Pashe freebie from the Flipping Christmas range. The front of this card is acetate and shows the back of Santa in front of the fire, and on the inside you see the other side of him taking his bath.
another image from Le Pashe from the Best of 2012 cd is this one, I love this jolly image. Two more images which were freebies somewhere in the dim and distant past but I cannot remember where from
A week or two back I watched Jane Gill from Woodware, on Hochanda tv and she made what she called “Spotlight” cards. Here are a couple I made – the first I did with watercolours and as this is something I am still very much a beginner at I am not sure whether I like it or not. The second I coloured with pencils and also decoupaged a couple of the flowers that went over the edge. I much prefer this one.
The butterflies on the first card are to hide a couple of inky finger marks lol.
Well that’s it for this weeks catch up ladies and gents. See you next week, and in the meantime look after yourselves and keep well. Thank you for visiting and if you are reading this then thanks for sticking with it till the end.
Hugs to you all
So lovely to see all your work, I love the Santa doing the sword dance!
