Happy Start

Good morning and welcome to my happy week.

This week started on Sunday evening when I was lucky enough to win one of the beautiful new dies that John Lockwood will be bringing to Hochanda on the 26th February, cedpc1011I was so excited to win this as the last time I remember winning anything was when I was 15.  My gran had asked me to go with her to her church group as they were having a bingo session that evening, and she didn’t like to go in the dark on her own.  You can guess how thrilled I was about that, but it was rare for Gran to ask a favour of me so I couldn’t refuse.  I won a tin of biscuits, which I of course left at Grans house.  So this time I won something I really like and its really for me.

Happiness has continued this morning when I received this beautiful chart through the post,

dscf5436

It came all the way from Claire in France.  I really admired this when I saw it as a completed piece on Claire’s blog;   https://claire93.wordpress.com/  , and asked Claire where the chart came from.  As it had come from a magazine she was kind enough to offer to send me her copy, and as I said before it arrived this morning.  I think this is going to be kitted up to go on holiday, along with Wildlife of the Hedgerow.

I go for my next eye appointment, at the hospital, on Wednesday and my eyes have seemed so much better this last week, so I have high hopes that with new glasses, I will be back in full stitching mode again pretty soon.

I have been having a go at some of the Mojo Monday card sketches just recently and today I have decided I am going to take the plunge and join in their challenge. Here is the card I have made and todays, sketch challenge.

I do hope your week will be as happy as mine has been so far, and I hope my remain will in this vein.

Many thanks for taking the time to visit.  Please leave a comment if you have a moment,  I love to hear from you.

Hugs to all who need them

About stitchingranny

I am one of those people who need to have busy hands so whether its stitching or papercrafting, I am always doing something. I also love being in the garden, though hubby does most of the work there these days.

  2. So far so good Claire, and long may it continue. I think its about time things went right again in our house, as over the last two years we seem to have gone from one problem to another in our household (healthwise), but it looks like everything is improving in that line as well at the moment (fingers crossed, touching wood and anything else that wont put a jinx on me for saying so).

Well done on the win! Claire is such a generous person, I’ve been the lucky recipient of her parcels more than once. I hope your winning streak continues.
