If you too are a crafter I am sure you must ask yourself exactly that question many times. I go up to my craft room for half and hour and 6 hours late feel sure the clock is faulty when I look at the time to see if my half hour is up.
I was ill for two weeks recently and have so much to catch up with. All those Christmas cards made with lots of time to spare. Still need writing! All those December birthday cards still want making. I have a wedding car bouquet to make, inserts to make for a pile of cards and last but not least it really is time I made a mid SAL post. At least I am tackling the latter one now. Its ages since I posted anything apart from my three week SAL. So what have I been up to.
Firstly, my grandson asked for help making these sweet little advent calendars for his girlfriend .
They are so sweet but I don’t think I have ever cussed so much as I did whilst make these, every house is a little different to the others.
I have also been getting some of my old cross stitch “draw store stuff” actually into frames at last.
These two were finished in 2009 so have been waiting 11 years to have their frames but its lovely to see them hanging in my kitchen at last. My kitchen is cream and has black work surfaces and there are little touches of red about so you can see why they are in the kitchen
Lastly this one which I finished in 2013. I love the verse on this one and just in case you cannot read it –
“With faith in our hearts and a love all our own. Together we’ve made a place we call home.”
I also got The Baby Garden framed but unfortunately I have been unable to get a half decent picture of it. I will have another try and maybe I can share with you soon.
I have also been busy with cards recently and again I will TRY to make a point of getting another post done to share some of those with you.
I do hope you have enjoyed seeing what I have been occupying myself with during this second lockdown. I also hope people will stick to the rules. Please wear a mask, if you do not want to protect themselves then at least I hope you can think of loved ones, and not take the chance, and not put others at risk.
Until next time, hugs to you all and please stay safe.
