Hello folks, its lovely of you to visit once again and as you will gather from the title we have been on holiday, Lanzarote for two weeks of relaxation and sunshine to get me back on my feet again (hopefully its done the trick).
Rather than my normal holiday stitch I decided I would take a few small projects and decided on four small seasons samplers which were from Dinky Dies (and can if you want be made into needlerolls); and a couple of cute little owls which I have had in my todo pile for ever it seems. I got two of the samplers completed (apart from beads which I didn’t take with me), and one of the owl well over half done.
Here are Spring and Summer in the samplers
I intend to redo the third line of the Spring Sampler – the main colour is wild cherry and there are places to use the dark shade in it and places to use the light. I am not happy with how it turned out as I do not think there was enough difference and also trying to work a bit here and a bit there caused an awful messy back. I will show you again when the roses look more like roses again.
I love my little owl even though hes not quite done yet and hope you like him too. 
Now as I missed last weekends SAL post I think I must get back to Sal stitching as soon as possible. Lots of cards to share but will share them next time I post.

The owl is super cute! I hope you had a lovely time in lanzarote. I love it there and can’t wait to go back (am planning on moving there soon too!)

Do you know Playa Blanca, that’s where we stayed and its the 2nd time we have stayed there. The weather was quite mixed this time and we did have a little rain and some cooler days as well as the lovely sunny ones.

Yes though its not bad here at the moment it still feels cold after the sunshine of a holiday. I shall trying to finish the owl after my stint on the SAL project is done.

Nice to know someone missed me – bless you Kathy. I did get a few post notices on my ipad and tried to reply though our internet was rather hit and miss. Not sure if I managed to comment on yours but I did see your new stocking project and hope everything arrives in time for you to make a start before next time.
