SAL SUNDAY – Village of my heart #7

Time for another update, this year is passing at a rate of knots. We are now officially in spring and the flowers in the garden are beautiful in all their spring colours. I am also happy that the flowers in my Florist shop are branching out and have almost obliterated the sign that tells you it is a Florist. I am sure with all the pretty flowers, however, it does not really need a sign. From the rather dull building I shared last week this is as it is now – although I realise looking at the photo that I forgot to outline the window and with the colours all so similar and dull I think that must be done, soon.

Here is the picture I took yesterday

I have also almost finished the ground floor of the next shop. What should this one be do you think?

Now is the time to grab a cup of coffee, or maybe a glass of wine and browse everyone elses blogs. Just remember to allow for different time zones as members live all over the world.

Thank you for visiting and hope you enjoyed my latest update.

Hugs to you all

About stitchingranny

I am one of those people who need to have busy hands so whether its stitching or papercrafting, I am always doing something. I also love being in the garden, though hubby does most of the work there these days.

  1. Fishmongers or Fish and Chip Shop. You are proceeding quite fast with this project. How many shops in total?

    • Not sure there may be one more but depends how I feel when I get there Daisy, this is very much a project where I make it up as I go along lol. I do have a rough idea of where I am going I sketched it all out before I started, but as its completely my thing there are no real rules as long as it all fits in the space I have allowed on each side of the tablecloth. As you may be able to see I have already reached halfway on this side and I definitely have a plan for part of the second half.

    • Thank you Margaret, it takes me ages to catch up too, but I always feel guilty if I do not get to the end of the group, especially when one of the claims is we all support each other. Most do but there are some who I have never had a comment from. Oh well that’s life as they say lol xx

This is turning out so cute! Are you following a pattern or making it up yourself?

  12. I have a very old cross stich pattern maker on the computer and made myself a pattern before I started this (many years ago lol). However the pattern has only been a guide as I have altered things and added bits and pieces as the mood as taken me. Most of the cottages have been stitched with distant friends in mind and they have asked for things for their cottage. i.e. please can I have a stream I always wanted a stream in my garden; or don’t forget I need to have a dog / cat / fountain etc.
