SAL SUNDAY – Village of My Heart #3

Last times
and today.

Not a great deal done but as it was the lead up to Christmas I am fairly happy with the progress made.

Why not grab a coffee and go see what everyone else has been up to.

About stitchingranny

I am one of those people who need to have busy hands so whether its stitching or papercrafting, I am always doing something. I also love being in the garden, though hubby does most of the work there these days.

  5. That’s quite a lot of stitching when there are so many other priorities at this time of year 🙂

Is it a hat shop? It will be fun to guess what shop you are stitching, I think you made great progress!

This time of year I consider any progress as good progress. I had to scroll back to see the tablecloth because I missed the last update altogether. That will indeed be a treasure when it’s completed, and so much more meaningful after the year we’ve just had! Have you designed all the houses and shops yourself or just the additional details you’ve mentioned?

    • When I started the project the intention was to find charts with tiny cottages, however that was easier said than done. I did find a couple but then just looked at bigger cottages and adapted them to fit a size more acceptable. In the end I just adapted the ones already adapted to add extra or less windows, make them a little longer or shorter etc. I made charts for the main buildings but even now I alter things as I go. Someone asked it the shop I am doing now was a green grocers, – Oh dear I had cafes and gift shops etc but had not thought of the essential shops a village would need lol. So no this will not be a grocers but the next one will lol xx
