Good morning my crafty friends. Here in the UK today is Mothers Day, so to all the mothers out there I hope you are going to have a lovely day and be spoilt. My son came over yesterday with a big bunch of pretty flowers for me and a card. A cheeky one of course. Later this morning my daughter is coming for a visit. I am looking forward to seeing her as we haven’t had a catch up since a couple of weeks before I went away. I speak with her on a regular basis but its still nice to see each other.
My post this morning is about grandmothers too, as four of the cards I have made have been related to this. Three lots of friends have recently become Grandparents, (all to little girls), Trina and her hubby were first time grandparents and Jan and Janet have added too their little broods. Two of the babies have been called Isabella which was my own Grannys name. Here are the cards I made for them.
The next card I made was for another friend who needed an Easter card for her Grandaughter to give to her nursery school teacher. I thought this one would be appealing to a little girl of four.
I received another Happy post this week which reminded me that I should make some more Christmas cards, but I will save that for another post. I have made 35 cards this month which I am quite happy with, especially as I have taken a holiday during that time. Here are the last few for the month, and not a Christmas card in sight.
I took my hardanger piece on holiday with me though there was not a lot of time for stitching, but this is how it looks now.I am sorry the colours look really odd for some reason but they are soft and pretty in real life. I am all set for the cutting next but before I do that I really must do some of my Garden Alphabet before the next SAL Sunday comes around. Right I am off to have my shower and get dressed before I do anything else. Hope you are all having a lovely day whether or not you are a Mother, Mum, Mom or whatever else you may get called.
Hugs to you all
Your hardanger is looking beautiful and 35 cards is fab, hope you have a lovely catch up with your daughter x

Happy Mother’s Day Helen! May I adopt you, even though I think you are too young to be my mom?! Your Hardanger is going to be gorgeous, I’m so happy you decided to stitch along!

You certainly can Kathy.
Though I have no idea how old you are , I have been married for 50 years in September so I would imagine it’s quite possible. Xx
