Little Hardanger Sampler Sal.

Hello crafty friends.  Just a quick update on how the little hardanger SAL is going.  So far I have done weeks 1, 2 and 4.  I have missed week three which was to do long stitch stars in the corners.  I have a reason for this.  I would like to do the starts in an variegated thread but as I am not sure how many long stitch motifs there will be I do not know if I will have enough to do this yet.  So hey ho they are getting put on one side until I know whats going to happen.  This went well apart from putting six stitches instead of five in one of the kloister blocks, which meant some frogging but it didn’t take long to put right.  So here is my first reveal:-  DSCF6750.JPG        Oops please excuse the smudge I must have caught my finger on the camera lens lol.

I have been struggling with the back stitch on the latest Garden Alphabet, which is taking an age to follow and there is just so much of it.  Apart from that I have been making cards and hope to get back to you tomorrow with an update on those.

All for now my lovely peeps,

About stitchingranny

I am one of those people who need to have busy hands so whether its stitching or papercrafting, I am always doing something. I also love being in the garden, though hubby does most of the work there these days.

Well done, it’s looking fabulous! I’ve still not purchased my fabric so you are a long way further than I am! And with another pack and move about to happen I think this will be stored for later in the year. I’m looking forward to seeing it progress and the variegated thread sounds like a great idea!

    • Where are you off to this time Catherine? Will you still be in Australia or are you going to try another part of the world again? Hope all goes well with your move and I am sure you will catch up with the hardanger soon enough.

  5. Hi Jess its the one that Kathy from Sunday Sal is doing and although I am experienced with Hardanger I thought I would show my support and join in. Nice to have a change from the old cross stitch.
