Good afternoon dear readers. It really is wonderful here again today, we still have the sunshine but, there is a nice little breeze coming through my open window and its very welcome. I cannot remember when we last had a summer like this in the UK, it really is lovely though I am not sure the garden would agree with me. I am praying for some nice showers next week as we will be out of the country for the week and the garden will struggle without anyone to at least show it some attention. I am hoping mother nature will lend a hand and provide a few little showers, it would be a great help to me and a welcome relief for my flowers.
I am still not getting a lot of anything much done. A little stitching :- I shall take this one away with me as though progress is slow I can see it getting completed in the not too distant future so I am just going to stick with it now.
On the card front just two Christmas cards as I am now up to date with the Christmas group challenges. The first was for the Polar Bear or Penguin challenge , the second was for a Children’s Christmas card. Yes I do know my ships are yachts but hey ho! artistic licence and all that jazz.
and four normal cards
This is a fancy edged card and I covered the edge with Blossom gilding polish. However it didn’t really show up so I decided to back it with the same black as used on the card front and I now am much happier with it – though since taking the photo I have also added some pearls to the centre of the heads of the butterflies and the flowers in the edging.
That I am afraid is the limit to my labours for this week. Next week I will not be here so there will be no post on Wednesday. So I will look forward to chatting with you once again in two weeks time.
In the meantime I hope you all remain fit and well, and I will catch up with you when I return.
Hugs
I hope your trip is grand, and that there is a nice rain for your garden while you are gone. We could use a bit of dry weather here. Had 2 inches of rain in about 40 minutes with huge wind and some hail on Saturday night, so we would gladly send some moisture your way! (At least until we get the roof fixed!)

We have had 2 showers tonight but both only lasted for about 5 minutes each – still its far better for the plants than tap water. Our water but has been empty for well over a month so they must be thinking its their birthdays. I do hope you can get your roof fixed soon . Oh and if you do send rain can we have the nice gentle sort that nurtures the plants rather than battering them to death.

Good news for both of us! You got rain and the roof materials have been ordered. Very helpful folks at Menards helped make it more manageable for DIY, and were very encouraging! Only an inch of rain this week, in small doses so it wasn’t bad.
