Hello to all my friends, both crafty and none-crafty. The wonderful weather is continuing here in Derbyshire as in the rest of the UK I think, and though today has been rather overcast it has still been hot.The main result of this is not a lot of stitching is getting done. I keep putting a few stitches in but the fabric is getting so crumpled in my hot sweaty hands I keep giving up. So no stitch pics again this week.
I did have a lovely surprise last week when the postie bought me a lovely package full of goodies. A gift from my dear friend Ann xx Thank you again Ann xx
I just had to use one of those toppers at once as I had some silver card with the similar design as the edging on the topper.
I have also manged a few Christmas cards
I have been trying to concentrate on the Christmas cards and apart from my hubbys birthday on the 1st of the month this is a birthday free month for me. So I am almost caught up with the challenges I missed when I first joined MOCCEW now. I do know to many of you seeing Christmas cards at this time of year seems odd but most card makers out there will have at least made one of two already this year. Soon my total should only be seven each month, one for each weekly challenge, 1 for the monthly challenge, 1 for the monthly sketch and last but not least on for the Push Yourself challenge.
This month the PYS challenge was making backgrounds by blending with glycerine. I had never heard of this before but it actually makes blending so much easier and I love the technique – I have used it in the background of the angel card. I am now going back to normal cards for a few days (though I will be out and about the next couple of days so it will be the weekend before I can start), and I want to use some of the toppers I have in my stash.
See you all soon, and in the mean time Happy Crafting
Hugs
The robins and mittens are my favorites this week. You always have such a variety, it is amazing to me!

You’ve been very busy, what a beautiful selection of cards. I love those carol singing mice so much and the pretty vellum flowers. The owl stamp in your gift is so sweet too! Have a great day x
