No knitting this week. I have actually been stitching the last couple of nights but as its been on Garden Alphabet, so I cannot share yet. So this week is all cards so sorry if you don’t like cards then the time to leave is now, though I shall be sad to see you go.
The first card this week was a very difficult one. My daughters, neighbour passed away at the weekend so I needed a sympathy card, never the easiest thing at the best of times. In this case though he was only in his early 30s and leaves a girl of about 9 and a boy of about 6 as well as a young wife. With the card being for children too I did not want black or anything depressing. This is what I came up with and I wonder what you think? I think my camera lens must need cleaning because the spots and marks on the picture are not on the card.
Although I have been thoroughly enjoying stamping cards, when I moved a box the other day and realised I have three boxes full of toppers and made up decoupage to use I realised I could not afford to waste them either so here are some small fun (mainly 5 x 5 in or 6 x 6) cards that I have made this week using the toppers.
These three are C5 size
and lastly three Christmas cards. This weeks challenge at the Christmas card group is “Winter In The Forest”, so here are the cards I did.
Hope you enjoyed looking, please leave a comment if you have a minute, I love hearing what you think and what you are up to.
Hugs
while I don’t make cards, I always enjoy seeing what other people make. Your creativity never fails to amaze me ^^-

Love your sympathy card. I get most of mine from a u3a craft group and thy are so cheap! I don’t make cards myself, but do a lot of cross stitching

With any luck Margaret I do both but sometimes the mojo will desert for one or the other.

The sympathy card is lovely, Helen. You have been busy this week! Christmas in the Forest was a challenge, but I love those owls!

Thank you Kathy, most people went for deer under tall trees, so I was pleased I had chosen the owls.
