Sal Sunday – latest progress on Gracious Era.

last time it looked like thisDSCF5247 and now it looks like this

DSCF5310

I haven’t stitched on anything else and so seem to have made reasonable progress even though I have only stitched for short periods at a time, as I haven’t been too well recently.  I am not sure I can stick at it but I am going to try as I would love to have it finished.

Please take some time and visit the others in this group.  We are a group  that is scattered all around the world and we work on many varied projects.  For most of us the aim is to decrease out UFO stash.   Some have now managed to do that, but still enjoy being part of this lovely, friendly and very supportive group, and just carry on with new projects.  There is embroidery, cross stitch, patchworks and crotchet projects but it makes for an interesting mix, if you would like to join us please contact Avis (first on the list below)

About stitchingranny

I am one of those people who need to have busy hands so whether its stitching or papercrafting, I am always doing something. I also love being in the garden, though hubby does most of the work there these days.

  3. Great progress Helen, I echo Kathy – I really love this piece too, it’s just the kind of picture I like to cross-stitch. I have a new kit to start (when I get time) of Victorian skaters on a lake which your piece reminded me of. I also love the thought of you working on this snowy scene in the middle of July LOL!! 😀

    • Oh I will look forward to seeing you start that one. I never thought about it but it has been very warm here this summer. I will have to find something nice and sunny to stitch throught the winter months.

    • Thank you Chistina, I am feeling a lot better today, and as long as I don’t stick at it for long periods I can always stitch.

That’s good to find a system that works. I too can’t spend long periods in front of the sewing machine, my back will ache. It kept me away for a month! I’m working on my posture though to help strengthen and support where it hurts.
