I have my new glasses – I can see, life is great again. I have stitched my March ornaments early as I decided my two big projects were enough to take on holiday with me. So here they are
The first is far prettier than it looks on here – the hanging thread at the top and the trails from the bow are a beautiful bright silver ribbon thread and though the ornament is stitched in grey is a “Threadworks” silk that has a beautiful sheen to it and looks quite silvery.
After visiting Stacy at “Paper & Bling” (http://paperandbling.blogspot.co.uk/2017/02/cupcake-birthday.html) the other day I felt quite guilty that as yet this year I had not made any Christmas cards, so decided to put that right – otherwise when it gets later in the year I will be trying to make my own cards and the charity ones. Normally I try to do between 10 and 20 each month so that when it gets near Christmas both my charities will have a 100 or so cards each to sell.
Before I started though I needed to make some cards for my stash – as I have said before I have loads of odd sized envelopes so cards to fit was the order of the day and varying in size from 12cm tall and 9cms wide to a massive 27.5cm tall and 18cm wide I made cards. A whole box full
With a nice pile of cards all pre-scored and ready to go I couldn’t wait to get started and guess what – the first card I made I was so please with until I went to stand it up and realised it was an Australian card (upside down) lol. Not one to waste anything I cut the front off the card and turned the back into an A6 card blank. Then I stuck the front of the card onto one of those massive cards I had just made – the result was not too bad.
I then went on to make another three
I think I better move my butt and get making some more before the holiday, and so many other things to do. Visits to the kids and my brother and his wife, and sorting out packing. Never mind I know I will make time for the cards too.
On a funny little note, if you have written to me and I have not replied it is because my mail from most of you has been going directly to my DELETE BOX. I wish Hotmail would actually send the junk there but no that comes into my inbox on a regular basis. You would be amazed at how much I win or inherit or how many times the tax office refunds me thousands of pounds. Anyway now I know this is happening I can deal with it, but before I didn’t know and the delete box empties itself every 10 days or so. I am now checking every half hour or so and having to go into each post and amend the settings for that person. At least I have realised that I have lots more followers than I thought. So please if I have ignored you in the past, give me a second chance.
All for now, I will be back tomorrow with my Mojo Monday card.
Hugs

Thanks Claire, I love doing speciality stitches sometimes, they make such a nice change. I noticed in the photo that I got mixed up with one of the arms and the stitches go in the wrong direction, but as its only for me, I don’t think anyone else will notice once its hung on the tree. (well I hope not).
