A couple of Happy Dances

isabellas-garden

Its been a long time since I last posted, but my computer time has been very limited recently.  I saw the eye specialist on Monday and the cataract in my right eye should hopefully be removed within the next 6 weeks, so I may get back to normal soon (fingers crossed).

Today I thought I would share a couple of recent finishes.  Like computer time, stitching time has been limited,  as with very blurry sight, I cannot do it for long before my eyes are just too tired.  So I have been concentrating on ones that were close to a finish, and I am pleased to say that Isabella’s Garden, is now done, though the beads were a nightmare and I ended up just putting them where I thought.

The next finish was a beautiful sampler called Antique Roses, from Patricia Ann Designs.  I bought this pattern many years ago and it was the first speciality stitch chart I ever bought, so its nice to now have it on my finished list.

Earlier in the year I took part in a Round Robin with friends Ann and Terri.  I chose a small sampler chart that was from an old magazine, and said to do it how they pleased.  The only thing I asked was that they used the thread I provided for the verse,  and they used stitches of their choice instead of beads.  I did the first row and left the rest to them and was thrilled with the results

I hope everyone is well and that you enjoyed seeing my latest finishes.  I will try to do another post next week and show my works in progress.

Hugs to all

About stitchingranny

I am one of those people who need to have busy hands so whether its stitching or papercrafting, I am always doing something. I also love being in the garden, though hubby does most of the work there these days.
